Woodstock, New York
Completed 2010
The original Woodstock Playhouse was destroyed by fire in 1987. The new Woodstock Playhouse is a 6,000 square foot, 400 seat theater designed by Walker Architecture. The return of a functioning playhouse occurred in many stages over a period of over two decades. Starting with an outdoor stage, Walker Architecture slowly added facilities until a world class performance space was fully enclosed. Twenty five years after the devastating fire, a modernized version of the Town of Woodstock's beloved theater was reborn.
